Random Ramblings

I am still trying to figure this blog thing out! I think I have decided on two directions I want to take this blog in. One is towards beauty and the other is towards finance. You may be thinking that this is HUGE conflict of interest - but we will see how this works out.

Sidenote about Me: I have always been into makeup! I am pretty sure I had my first caboodle by age 4. I am not saying that I always wear makeup (as I seldom do) - however, I have always had a strong interest towards beauty products.

Which leads me to what I consider to be a beauty bargain - subscription beauty boxes! Hoorah for the marketing genius who first came up with this idea! There are several out there - just hit up Google for more info.

So basically, you are charged a monthly fee (or some boxes allow you to subscribe yearly) and the company/distributor will send you a box of goodies usually towards the beginning of the month! These boxes often have fairly low rates ($10-15, what is that the price of 2 lattes?) and the best part, to me anyways, is that they include SHIPPING! Hallelujah! The products/samples that are sent often exceed the price of the subscription!

I have recently been lured into subscribing to 3 of these services: Birchbox, MyGlam (February will be my first bag), & Sample Society (I believe this one does not start until March).

I have been a member of Birchbox for 4 months now - and have been for the most part pleased with all of my boxes.
I plan on doing a review of my past boxes in the very near future.

I plan to narrow this down to just ONE (after all, money doesn't grow on trees!), but will give it a few months to see which one I like the best!
